A note from the owner: Please enjoy my Maui home as much as we do. Having viewed over 50 units on Maui and the Big Island I chose to purchase my second home at the Royal Mauian, and in particular unit #315, for so many right reasons--gorgeous sunsets, impeccable landscaping, ideal ocean-front location, huge lanai (balcony), stairway accessible, quiet, steps to class A+ beaches, walking distance to shops and restaurants, and abounding Aloha spirit from Kihei residents.
The sea turtles (Honu) are fully visible from the lanai and master bedroom windows; terrific snorkeling is less than 50 steps away. And the roof top bbq and dining area is one-of-a-kind; perfect for sunset happy hours! I have entertained a party of 25 with ease given the great bbq equipment and available kitchen.
Listening to the waves and gazing at the moonlight reflecting off the ocean from the master bedroom or lanai is a nightly delight. In the evening, tradewinds funnel through the ocean-front sliders to the guest bedroom and kitchen windows providing for natural cooling in addition to the ceiling fans. Hours tend to escape while on the lanai with my laptop.
I began to update the furniture and finishes to create warmth and a cozy home environment soon after it's purchase in early 2008. Comfortable furniture and flat screen TVs were a must have for evening movies and sports after a long day at the beach, kayaking, running, hiking, snorkeling, and golfing, or just reading. The kitchen is equipped to handle dinner for 8 with seating inside and out, or just coffee and papaya for morning out on the lanai. Even with a family of 4 (including young ones), the unit is perfect to accommodate all.
